This assures breastfeeding families and health care professionals of high quality care, research-based practice, and state-of-the-art equipment. As a part of the health care team, the consultants at TLC send a written report to the pediatrician and obstetrician following each consult.

Kathy is the founder and president of The Lactation Connection Inc. She is a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Registered Lactation Consultant who has been counseling breastfeeding mothers for over 20 years. She has extensive experience in a wide variety of breastfeeding situations, including work with premature infants, extended nursing, latch difficulties, mothers with a history of breast surgery, and slow-weight gain infants. Kathy is a member of La Leche League International, International Lactation Consultant Association, Texas Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition, San Antonio Breastfeeding Coalition, Texas State Perinatal Depression Task Force, and is a contract instructor for Texas Department of State Health Services Peer Counselor courses.
